Walter Bruce Willis, known by the his stage name, Bruce Willis, is a popular American actor, producer, and musician.

Actor[]

Bruce Willis career started with off-Broadway roles and television commercials. His big break came in television in the critically acclaimed 1980s television sitcom Moonlighting, where he co-starred with Cybill Shepherd. The show aired for five seasons, giving Willis the jumpstart he needed, and he continued on from there both in television and film, acting in comedic, dramatic, and action roles. He is perhaps best known for the role of John McClane in the Die Hard series, which were mostly critical and uniformly financial successes. He has also appeared in over sixty films, including several box office successes.

Willis released his debut album, The Return of Bruno in 1987, to generally favorable reviews. The album went gold in the US and the UK, and platinum in Canada. Five singles were release from the album; most of which made the charts worldwide. He released two more albums in 1989 and 2001.

During the after-party for the film the cast and crew that Bruce threw in the villa he had rented for the duration of filming, Bruce gave a musical performance for his guests.

Health[]

In 2022, it was announced that Willis would be retiring from his acting career. He had been diagnosed with aphasia, a disorder that impairs the expression and understanding of language as well as reading and writing. Willis's family announced in 2023 that his condition had progressed from aphasia to frontotemporal dementia, a form of dementia that affects the frontal and temporal lobes of the brain.
